Lemons and Lemonade

I have been feeling unwell the last couple of days, so I stayed home from church today. I think I’m getting a sinus infection. Boo. I haven’t posted much on here this week because I’ve been busy with other projects.

I finished my poetry class – Yay! – and I found a writer’s group to join, so that I can keep the amount of content I throw at my friends and family to a reasonable amount. On that note I would like to say a hearty “Thank you!” to the lovely people have been willing to read and offer feedback on my projects over the last couple of months. I am so grateful.

My next class is a creative writing class, which I find more challenging than poetry, so wish me luck. 🍀 I’m also working on a couple of new poems, the most exciting of which is about my lemon tree that is descended from my great grandma’s prize winning tree.

This lineage of lemon trees has been in my family for over 100 years and I’m very proud to participate in keeping the tradition – literally – alive. My particular plant exists thanks to my cousin who sprouted a number of seeds and graciously shared them among the relatives. I am not known for having a green thumb so this has been a bit intimidating, but my tree has sprouted about six leaves now, so I’m hopeful. So far, so good!

Have a great day!
